ROYAL LE WAINE PETERSON/POULIN KEMP
(AUGUST 8, 1921 – NOVEMBER 9, 2020)
Royal L. Kemp, finished 99 years of life on November 9, 2020, passing quietly and peacefully into the presence of her Lord Jesus from her home in Northridge, California. She will be remembered as a woman of deep faith, unwavering optimism and joy, uncompromising character, profound loyalty to her family and friends and a deep commitment to the country she loved. She was born in Dewitt, Michigan to Roy Peterson and Mabel (Burke) Peterson. She is survived by her children Stephen Hanley Kemp and Candace LeWaine (Kemp) Wood and was preceded in death by her husband William (Bill) Kemp (1923-2011) to whom she was married for 65 years. Services will be held graveside at Oakwood Memorial Park in Chatsworth, California, at 1 P.M. on Friday, November 20th. A reception will be held at the home of Candy Wood in Northridge, CA following the graveside service.
Royal is survived by son Stephen Kemp and daughter in love Martha, their children Jonathan Kemp, Jason and Breanna Kemp and their children Abigail, Josiah, Ethan, Matthias and baby Kemp due in March 2021. Daughter Candace (Kemp) Wood, husband Gregory , and their sons Jered and Heather (Miller) Wood, Zeke, Zane and Zaddok Wood, and Nathan and Jessica (McLaughlin) Wood.
