Moana Lois Kamakua-Wheeler; Born November 21, 1931 in Hilo, Hawaii. Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family August 14, 2021. Loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She joins her husband the late Donald Wheeler. Survived by son Mark, daughter-in-law Panadda, grandchildren Krittikorn, Phuwadet, Rujapar, Natwara, Papawee, and Thanadon.
As a young child she moved to Oakland, California. After graduating from High School at the age of 18 she moved to Los Angeles and soon met and married her husband of 34 years. Through her hard work she provided a loving and nurturing environment to raise a family. She became a widow at 62. She spent many years working as a secretary, and executive assistant for real estate development companies. It was a job she loved and was passionate about. Towards the end of her career she took great pride in working for Franklin Realty Investment Services up to the age of 89. Her favorite times were the holidays, cooking and being in the company of her family. She enjoyed gardening, taking walks, and being outdoors.
