Maria Sanchez

Our beloved Mother passed peacefully from this life on the early morning of Sept. 17th after a gradual decline in health. In her last five days of transition, she was surrounded by her loving Daughters, Sons, Sister, Grandchildren and Caregivers. Even when her last breath left her, she was not alone. We are sure, God along with her other children and loved ones who left this Earth before her, were there with open arms welcoming her into the Gates of Heaven. Our “Ama” and known as “Luz” to others was born in a small town called Salvatierra - the first town founded in Guanajuato, Mexico. She came to the U.S. when she was 19 years old and lived in Venice, Santa Monica, Reseda, Van Nuys, and then most of her latter years in Canoga Park, California.
Our beautiful, giving, and humorous Mother raised eleven children mostly on her own and is survived by 7 children, preceded in death by 4 children, 27 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren. She has left us with so many wonderful memories for us to cherish and remember her by until we meet her once again.
