Leah Porter

Leah Jeneane (Molen) Porter (aka Jean or Nene), born June 28, 1938 passed peacefuly into our Lords care on June 21, 2018 surrounded by her 4 children, Deborah Ann, William Gregory, James Richard and Katherine Marie. She was proceeded in death, by her husband of 46 years, William G. Porter and her parents Gerald R Molen and Edith L Meyer. Grandmother of 10 and great grandmother of 5, her legacy was her family and her joy. Having grown up the eldest daughter in family of 7, she is survived by 4 brothers, 2 sisters, 4 sister in laws, 1 brother in law, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was generous to a fault with her time and her talents. Her creativity was one of her greatest attributes as displayed thru her painting, cake decorating, craft making, interior design, and event planning. She loved life, laughter, music, dancing, Christmas, reading, and travel. In her later years, she became impassioned about politics and the state of our country.
Family & friends were her greatest gift in life. She said that that she would carry a piece of each of them in her heart on her journey to her heavenly home. In turn, she hoped that a piece of her, thru our memories,would be carried in our hearts, to be remembered and shared with future generations.
