Kevin Marion Joyner

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Kevin Marion Joyner, a cherished husband, devoted friend, and member of the community, who departed this life on January 12, 2025, in Panorama City, Los Angeles. Born on February 13, 1959, in New Haven, Connecticut, Kevin’s journey through life was characterized by an unwavering sense of loyalty, intelligence, and a warmth that touched all who were fortunate enough to know him. 

Kevin’s early years laid the foundation for a life dedicated to service and excellence. He proudly served in the United States Navy for seven years, where he achieved the rank of Electronics Warfare Technician Petty Officer Second Class. His military career not only instilled in him a strong work ethic but also prepared him for a successful transition into civilian life. After his honorable service, he brought his skills and passion to the ElectroRent Group, where he devoted 25 years of his life. His role as Senior Lab Manager was a testament to his dedication, expertise, and the esteem in which he was held by his colleagues, who will forever cherish the memories of his good-natured spirit and collaborative nature. 

Education was an important element of Kevin's life, culminating in a bachelor’s degree in Electronics from the Navy College. This achievement paved the way for a successful career and reinforced his inquisitive nature, fueling his interests and hobbies. Notably, Kevin's love for the outdoors was epitomized through his passion for hunting, biking, and spending precious moments with his beloved wife, Maria Elena Joyner. Together, they shared countless adventures, often marked by the sound of country music echoing through their lives, and the soothing joy of planting their garden. These memories are a vivid reminder of a love that was stable, engaging, and full of life.  

A consummate craftsman, Kevin took great pride in building his own workshop dedicated to his treasured gun collection. He delighted in spending hours cleaning and preparing his firearms, a testament to his meticulous nature and deep-seated passion. In his workshop, Kevin found solace and satisfaction, often accompanied by the warmth of those who shared in his interests. He was not just a craftsman; he was a mentor and a friend, beloved not only by his wife but also by those who had the fortune to view him as family, including Cody, whom he cherished like his own son. 

Kevin will be remembered not only for his professional achievements but also for his remarkable character. He was a sociable and friendly individual, ever ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. His kind and heartwarming demeanor drew people in, creating lasting friendships and a supportive presence in the lives of many.  

As we bid farewell to Kevin Marion Joyner, we reflect on a life well-lived—a tapestry woven with love, loyalty, and countless memories. His legacy will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who knew and loved him, leaving an indelible mark that will forever resonate in the lives he touched.
