Josephine Alvord

It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Josephine “Kay” Alvord on Sunday, February 10, 2019 at 10:35am in West Hills, CA. Kay was 85 years old and lived in West Hills, CA. She is survived by her daughter Norette Gilbert, son Michael Alvord, grandchildren Sarah, Matthew, Garrett, Christopher, honorary grandchildren Nicholas and Alyssa, her sister Linda and brother Nick, as well as her loving nieces and nephews. Mom, Nanie, Kay, Katy, Kate are what her family and friends knew her as. She was born in Indiana and moved to Highland Park, CA when she was six months old. She spent her childhood and early adult life in Highland Park with her family. Her spirit, love or life and love of animals will live on forever. She is now with her parents and sisters with the Lord.
