Hugo Jesus Barjollo

On July 6, 2018 Hugo Jesus Barjollo of Winnetka, California passed away
peacefully at the age of 80, at home with his loving wife and family. Born in
La Falda, Argentina on October 3rd, 1937, Hugo married his beloved wife
Esther in 1960 and had their first child, Hugo Miguel, soon after. Four years
later they welcomed their second child, Maria Alejandra.
In 1969 Hugo and his family immigrated to the United States and lived in
Santa Monica, California for 22 years, where Hugo retired from working with
See’s Candies. In 1991 Hugo and his wife moved to the San Fernando Valley
to live with their son and his family.
Hugo was a generous individual that opened his home to all, and for those
who visited it was home. He was a genuine, caring and an overall amazing
person and was always willing to help someone else in need. Even after his
son Hugo passed from cancer at an early age a few years back, Hugo
remained strong and helped the rest of the family through a very difficult
time.
He continued to live life well, cooking and barbequing for others and
enjoying moments when he would play dominos with grandchildren and tell
jokes (he remembered them all). His stories of his childhood and living in
Argentina were told with great enjoyment and we will live fondly with
memories of those moments.
Hugo enjoyed traveling to many places, with his last trip going back to his
beloved Argentina. He also enjoyed photography and most of all spending
time with his family and friends while enjoying a glass of scotch in the
evening.
Hugo is survived by his wife Esther, his daughter Maria Alejandra, his son-in-law
Fernando, daughter-in-law Yolanda, his grandchildren and greatgrandsons.
He will be missed greatly by all who have met him.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 13, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Crawford Mortuary located at 8717 Tampa Avenue, Northridge, CA 91324.
There will be no set hours for prayers or eulogy so the full evening will be available for friends to visit, gather and say a final good-bye to Hugo.

Hugo Jesus Barjollo falleció a la edad de 80 anos el viernes 6 de Julio rodeado por su esposa y familia. Hugo nació el 3 de octubre de 1937 en La Falda, Argentina. Se caso con su amada esposa Esther en 1960 y poco después nació su primer hijo Hugo Miguel, cuatro años después nació su hija Maria Alejandra.
En 1969 decidieron emigrar a los Estados Unidos. Vivieron en Santa Monica durante 22 años, donde Hugo se retiro de Sees Candies. Se mudaron a el valle de San Fernando en 1991 para vivir con su hijo Hugo y su familia.
Hugo fue un hombre generoso que abría su puerta a todos, y los que pasaban la puerta se transformaban en familia. Hugo era una de esas personas que te hacen sentir bien y que siempre estaba dispuesto a ayudar al quien fuera. La muerte de su hijo lo afecto tremendamente, pero nunca lo demostró, seguir siendo el “rock” de el clan, ayuda a todos ser fuerte y seguir para adelante.
Hugo disfrutaba viajar, cocinar nos enseño como hacer un asado argentino, contaba chistes (muchos), jugaba dominos con sus nietos. Sus historias eran como su amada Argentina sin fin, inmensas con una belleza que solo puedes escuchar sin molestar. La fotografía fue su pasión desde bien joven pero su favorito era pasar tiempo con su familia y amigos y disfrutar de un buen vaso de scotch todas las noches.
Hugo cumplió su deseo de visitar su Argentina una ultima vez, con su yerno en abril de este año. Como que el lo sentía y se iba despidiendo de todos los amigos y familiares de su amada La Falda.
Le sobreviven su esposa Esther, su hija Maria Alejandra, nuera Yolanda, yerno Fernando, nietos y sus bisnietos. Sera amado y extrañado por todos los que lo conocieron.
Una vista funeraria se llevara a cabo en el mortuorio de Crawford en Northridge. El día sera este viernes Julio 13 de 5:00 a 9:00p.m. No habra un tiempo fijo de observación o de oración, solo un momento para reunirse y despedirse de Hugo.
