Frank Casimir Reed, age 70, died in his home on April 1, 2017 in Northridge, CA of heart-related
complications. He was born on September 2, 1946 in Toledo, OH to his parents, Frank and Frances
(Srock) Reed. He attended the University of Toledo and the Universal of Cincinnati, worked as a
religious teacher and then a marketing executive, with a wide range of interests from real estate to
travel to collecting art glass from around the world. With his partner of 28 years, Dan Loughry, CA, he
moved to Los Angeles in 1992, where he remained an active parishioner of Saint Andrew Russian
Greek Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his partner; his brother and sister-in- law,
David (Doris) Reed, OH; his sister and brother-in- law, Cynthia (John) Lucas, MI; five nieces and
nephews; four grandnieces and grandnephews; and his beloved dogs, Edward and Enrique.
He will be remembered for his love of family, especially the younger generations of nieces, nephews,
grandnieces and grandnephews; his pride of place as being born and bred in Toledo, OH (go Mud
Hens!); his manic following of college football; and his steadfast, quiet support of all those important
to him.

Catholic Church in El Segundo, CA. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Mr. Reed’s life. In lieu of
