Federico Holguin

Federico Holguin, "Fred", a man of a great heart with unwavering dedication, peacefully passed away at the age of 54. He fought bravely for years determined to overcome his illness, leaving us on January 14, 2025. He embodied kindness, devotion and strived for excellence. 

 He proudly served his Country, enlisting in the Marines in 1988, and fought in the Persian Gulf War. After he returned home, he obtained his bachelor's degree at California State University Northridge and excelled in his career in facilities management. 

 Fred met his one and only love Kathy Szalay, marrying in 2013 and enjoyed a wonderful inseparable life, full of adventures for 12 beautiful years.

 He was a beloved husband, dog dad, son and brother along with numerous other family members and friends.

 He was a man of simple pleasures who cherished every moment with those he loved. His warm smile and gentle demeanor brightened the lives of those around him. He will remain in us with memories of his warmth and love.

 Fred's spirit will forever remain in our hearts, guiding us as we navigate the world until we meet him again.
