Charles Bell

“Charles Stephen (“Steve”) Bell went peacefully into his beloved Savior’s presence on October 15, 2018 at the age of 88, after a brief but courageous battle with esophageal cancer. He spent his last days surrounded by loving family and friends, assuring them all of his confidence in what awaited him.
Steve studied engineering at Cal Poly and enjoyed successful careers in aerospace, insurance, and Marty Bell Fine Art, Inc.
He and his beloved Marty (Marietta Mae Hartman) had three sons, 12 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren (with more to come.)
After Marty passed, Steve was married to the lovely Barbara Copeland of Encino until her homegoing in 2015.
In later life, Steve published “God’s Way, Not Politics”, and actively sought to call Christian believers back to whole-hearted faith in God as their protector and provider.
After a private burial, Steve was remembered at a memorial celebration held at the Valley Vineyard Church on October 18th. The themes that were heard over and over were that he was gracious, strong in faith, could fix anything (and did, for everyone), dearly loved his family, and was proud of each one of them.
Donations in his memory can be made to The Oaks Camp and Conference Center in Lake Hughes, CA.
